About
I love two things in my life, movies and travelling. I would like to add women to that very short list but unfortunately –and possibly due to my aforementioned movie addiction- I’m not exactly John Shaft!
The good news for you is that my lack of love life gives me the time to create a spend time on a site like this that hopefully will be of interest to some of you with things to see and people to do.
This site is all about European cities and the movies that were filmed there. Have you ever wanted to drink in the same bar as the guys in Lock Stock or stay in the same hotel as James Bond? Maybe you just fancy re-enacting Renton’s unsuccessful escape from police at the beginning of Trainspotting or race around the same streets as Daniel in the original (and far superior to the American version) Taxi movies? If yes then this is the site for you.
All of the cities that I will feature will have easy access by low cost airlines and will offer many other reasons to go and things to do but this will hopefully provide you with something extra to do that is kinda cool and more importantly free!!
You may even be surprised by some of the locations used by big budget movies. So if I mention one of your favourite flicks then why not visit the set and if you are going to one of these cities but haven’t seen the film then grab a copy of the movie and add a new dimension to your trip.
Please take a click through my site…

Some years ago (maybe 20 or more) I stayed in a small hotel or B&B in a room that I was told was used in a movie in which Anthony Perkins was a member of the cast. The room was used as the setting of a brothel in the movie. The hotel was very near the church housing the bells that Anne Frank listened to from the attic. Does this “ring a bell?”
Hey Larry,
Thanks for reading the site, hope you like it :-). I think that the film you are referring to is called ‘Edge of Sanity’, it starred Anthony Perkins and Glynis Barber and was filmed partly in Budapest -using a hotel location -near the concentration camp that Anne Frank was taken to (that my be incorrect, my ‘real life’ history knowledge isn’t that great).
Hope that helps and if you find out any more information about the locations I would be happy to add it to the site.
